Movin' on

The Mole has announced that the Restaurant has closed, but will reopen for the Quinton Cowboys under new ownership in 2011, with a completely different menu and cooks. You have been warned...

June 13 shoot

Great weather. Franks and beans for lunch, alas. (Not a huge favorite with Rico, but plenty of other cowboys scarfed 'em down. No accounting for taste.)
Next month, beef stew. (Much better.)

May 2 Shoot

Hey brothers in arms,
Going back to basics. Due to popular (?) demand, Sunday will be servin' up Bush beans and franks, dinner roll (w/butter), soft drink and a bag of chips, w/ some dessert. All for the peasely $5. By the way, ALL YOU CAN EAT! If the 'boys can eat 28 lbs. of beans and franks, I'll be surprised. It may also mitigate the complaints received in the past as to measely servings. Even cowboys get sick of complaints. So, eat up, remember there is only one pot back there...all you guys fill with beans, then what?

Brothers in Shootin'
Due to the upcoming torrential downpours in the area and the fear of flooding, me and the chuckwagon are calling it quits 'til next shoot. Sorry, too long a cattle drive just to be turned away.
Hope to see ya'll April 11th. Keep dry and high!

Merry Christmas

Mother Nature has sure been cruel to us these last two Sundays. The 13th shoot being cancelled due to the rain left your Mole here with a chuckwagon full of vittles; jambalaya, some Frenchy bread, pickles and the rest. Yellow Mike sent me the smoke signal just in time that the shoot was cancelled so I steered the wagon to St. John's Hospice at 13th & Race in the City of Brotherly Love. Well, with me wearing my cowboy duds, and explaining to Brother Paul this was a donation from the Delaware Blues and the Quinton Cowboys, there were some gaping skeptics but they were very pleased nonetheless. They were able to feed 50+ men and women and were very grateful. See ya'll in the spring!!!

Christmas is Coming

Hey there pards, Mike the Mole here again with some fine news for the Quinton Cowboys. Come the December shoot, the Delaware Blues Range Club will be providing lunch for free. That's right, it will cost you nada! It is their way of saying 'thanks' to the Cowboys for your continued support and for answering the call to round up some new shooters. They were quite appreciative of your efforts. Here's what's fixin': Louisiana style jambalaya, served in a bowl with some French bread, soft drinks, including fresh coffee, and a special "thank you" dessert. Jambalaya will be loaded with Andouille sausage, smoked chicken, shrimp, rice, lots of veggies in tomato sauce. There'll be plenty, so come back for more!

11.04.2009

Now you'll know for sure

The Mole Hole Cowboy Restaurant will sport a fancy wooden sign (handcarved by Rico for the Mole) at the next shoot. Do drop by and admire it when you come for lunch.

November 8, 2009 Quinton Cowboys

Hey there Pards,
Got that first one under my belt but I owe ya'll an apology. I promise there will be plenty of food next time. I was a little overwhelmed by the turnout ( and there were a few visitors, by the way) and the beverage selection will be larger, including some iced-tea, diet soda and hot coffee. Come November 8, we'll be serving up plenty of El Diablo chicken, which is hot and spicy shredded chicken on a roll, some 7 day cole slaw, sweet potato casserole, pickles and soft drink for the aforementioned $5. After all the hungry cowboys are served, second plates will be available for a mesely $2. Look forward to the December shoot...that one is on The Mole! That's right! As my way of thanking the Quinton Cowboys, the December 13th lunch is on me! Start praying there will be no snow so that the chuckwagon can make it down that path! See ya'll on the 8th of November!
